FERROFLUID

Since late 2012, I've grown progressively more dependent on a snapback to feel confident about my look. What started out as one iridescent silver baseball cap eventually turned into a 10+ piece snapback collection... most decorated with metallic studs, others heavy with the weight of costume jewels and gems. The one I'm wearing here is adorned in black spikes... affords me some street cred and it's stealthy to boot. It kinda looks like a crown made of ferrofluid, which is actually a disturbing comparison if you're one of those people who thinks counterentropic cone shapes are scary and gross. I'm fascinated and repulsed equally. If you have no idea what I'm talking about... watch the video I embedded at the end of the post! You'll see the similarity instantly. And maybe you'll be wooed by how easily science can be integrated into aesthetics. Or revolted. Nature and all its unexpected symmetries are the most enduring sources for fashion inspiration. ^-^

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:

Ferrofluid snapback - ROMWE
Sunglasses - RETRO CITY
Stained glass sweater - OASAP
Chiffon-overlay capris - YES STYLE
Lace-up boots - YES STYLE

Been wearing these chiffon-overlay capri pants at least once a week since December when I ordered them from Yes Style. And I'll wear them to death this summer, too. Harem pants, leather bralette, and a suntan... love me a mediterranean goth vibe.

  19. This outfit is too cool - the edgy trend and black staples make for the perfect go-to style. We particularly love the twist that's added by the combat boots - no other shoe would look quite as good with this ensemble. A great boot to try is the Dr. Martens Women's 1460 8 Eye Purple Lace-Up Boot. The pop of color will only add to this already amazing outfit.
